The History and Folklore Festival "The Glory to Dobrynya"

Two places in Shilovo area are connected with the name of Russian bogatyr (warrior) Dobrynya, the hero of many tales and legends. One is presently existing Dobrynin island between the villages of Erakhtur and Rubetskoye and the other – the destroyed in the 20-s Dobrynin mound near the village of Pribrezhny.

According to local tales, Dobrynya was born not in the capital of Ryazan principality - Ryazan, but in Nersk (now Shilovo).

The festival programme inlcudes: the theatrical performance "The tales of bogatyr deed", the celebration with the participation of folklore and ethnographic groups, clubs of historical reenactment, the exhibition-fair “Uzorochye of Ryazan”, acquaintance with games and funs of the past centuries "As it was in the old days", culinary competition programme "Old regales".
