"Gumbinnensky Breakthrough ... 1914"

The International military and historical festival "Gumbinnensky Breakthrough ... 1914" is dedicated to the heroic periods of the national history – the first victory of the Russian Army in the First World War.

This year the 100-th anniversary of the event is marked.

The festival will bring together teams from Russia, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain: 400 infantrymen, artillery, cavalry, armoured vehicles and airplanes.

The festival will incorporate a number of actions: the retro train of memory "The Great War", historical military parade in Chernyakhovsk, saluting military honours to fallen heroes, interactive activities, scientific and practical conference and exhibition in the town of Gusev.
