The Folklore Show "The Midsummer Night"
The regional folklore festival of national creative teams for more than 20 years is held on the eve of the ancient Slavic holiday.
Representatives of all genres and types of traditional and contemporary folklore from Kemerovo region and Siberia take part in the festival.
The programme includes performances by folk singing groups and individual performers of various nationalities – traditional songs, games, vocal and theatrical performances based on the calendar and family ritual folklore, presentation of ancient midsummer ritual with mass participation by spectators, promotion of historical and cultural heritage of the people of Siberia.
"Tomskaya Pissanitsa" is an ancient sacred place, a monument of archeology and rock art of federal significance dating back to 4-3 millennium B.C., to Neolithic and Bronze Age.
During the celebartion, the guests can experience the unity with nature through rituals of ancestors, pass through cleaning by fire by the biggest Midsummer (Ivan Kupala) bonfire in Russia.
