The IV International Pokrov Fair

11 - 12 october, 2014, Tambov


In order to revive historical, labour, culture traditions and crafts of Tambov region, the distinctive nature of rural areas, establish regional and international business contacts Pokrov Fair is held since 2010.

The tradition to hold major fair has centuries long history in Tambov land.

In 2013, 466 producers have participated in the III International Pokrov fair. From Russia 17 regions were presented, 20 foreign participants have come from five countries: France, Iran, Bulgaria, Montenegro, the Republic of Belarus. The fair was visited by three official delegations – from St. Petersburg, Germany and France.

The fair programme includes an exhibition and sale of planting products, horticulture, animal breeding, bee-keeping, items of folk artistic crafts. The tasting of dishes of Russian (Tambov) cuisine is featured, too, as well as master classes, theater performances and concerts.
