In Moscow, from 18:00 on November 3 to 3:00 on November 4 over a thousand events at 250 places are scheduled. Admission to all events is free.

In the action Far Eastern Art Museum of Khabarovsk, the Museum of Art of Nizhny Tagil, the Museum of Nature and Man from Khanty-Mansiysk, 11 regional cultural institutions from Altay Territory will also participate – told Mikhail Bryzgalov, director of the Department of Cultural Heritage under Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, to the participants of the conference "Russia Today" in MIA.

"Last year the Ministry of Culture of Russia has supported "The Night of the Arts" – federal cultural institutions took place in the action for the first time. Now in the Year of Culture the heads of the Ministry held talks with the heads of the Federation subjects and initiated involvement of federal institutions in various regions of Russia into the event. It is symbolic that in the Year of Culture "The Night of the Arts" has turned into annual and all-Russian event" – stressed the head of the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

In libraries book exhibitions, master classes, literary and musical performances and concerts will take place. In the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh" the exposition-installation "My Story. The Ruriks" will open that was highly praised by the director of the State Hermitage museum Mikhail Piotrovsky: "The exhibition is by two thirds a textbook of Russian history".

In the museum-reserve "Moscow Kremlin" that takes part in the action "The Night of the Arts" for the first time, on November 3 at 18:00 (in the lecture hall of the Kremlin museums) a public lecture by British art critic and curator Peter Trowles "Glasgow School of Arts: the rich past and an uncertain future?" will be hosted – it is timed to coincide with the exhibition "Charles Rennie Mackintosh: the manifesto of the new style". This year Pushkin Reserve will participate in The Night of the Arts for the second timee.
