On August 23-24, 2014, at one of the fields in New Moscow the breathtaking action – the first Festival of Aeronautics "Moscow sky" – will unfold.

At the celebration of aeronautics and small aviation, organized by the Department of culture of Moscow in the framework of the citywide summer festival "The best city in the world", fans of construction of radio-controlled airplanes’ models, gliders, cord and radio-controlled models of air combat, sport kites will get together alongside eith representatives of the Federation of gliding sport of Russia.

The competition of makers of airplanes’ models will become one of the main events of the festival.

At the site "The Kites" designs of kites from around the world will be shown. Master classes in kites’ making and their show flights will be organized at the site, as well.

At the festival "Moscow sky" everyone can try hilmself as a pilot in the cockpit of "YAK-40" airplane.

Champions of aeronautics, permanent participants and winners of international competitions will perform demonstration flights and tell guests about the basics of aeronautics and how aerostats are designed.

The festival visitors will be able to ride a hot air balloon, participate in aviator courses, take a look at avia-fair and make their photos against the backdrop of the smallest biplane in Russia H2 Honey Bee.

At the site "The Merry Sky" master classes on creating airplanes and kites, frisbee painting and launching of unusual homemade flying objects will take place as well as ecological master class on producing a flying craft from garbage.

The festival "Moscow Sky" is part of the summer city festival "The best city in the world", organized by the Department of culture of Moscow.
