In the city of Bogorodsk in Nizhny Novgorod region on June 27-29, 2014, the XVAll-Russia Festival of pottery “The City of Potters” will take place.

In Bogorodsk each summer one may rotate a potter's wheel, buy extraordinary work of ceramics and have a good time.

The event is attractive not only for potters of Nizhny Novgorod, to the place the talents from all over Russia come.

The festival “The City of Potters” provides the opportunity for authors to show their works and look at schools, styles of other cities.

This year masters from Tula, Yaroslavl, Moscow, Vladimir, Ryazan, Kirov and other areas will come to the festival.

The solemn opening of the event at Central Square will take place on 27 June at 14:00. The potter wheel will rotate through the pages of the festival history.

The programme of the next two days includes exhibition and sale of pottery items, demonstration of works of masters, performances by folk groups, competitions in pottery themes, demonstration of ceramics firing (raku style, scalding), master classes of potters of different schools in ceramics workshop of the Centre of Pottery Art Development.
