The issue of holding the United Grushinsky festiva, the list of its organizing committee and heads is solved by the protocol signed by the Minister of culture of Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky and Samara region Governor Nikolay Merkushkin – the press service of the Ministry of culture of Russian Federation informs.

The document recognizes the necessity to hold, since 2014, the United Grushinsky festival that would bring together All-Russia festival of authors’ songs named after V. Grushin and the festival "Platforma" named after V. Grushin. An autonomous non-commercial organization "United Grushinsky festival" will be created to supervise organizational and financial issues of preparing and holding the festival. Vladimir Medinsky will become the Chairman of the organizing committee of the united festival while Boris Keylman will be the president of the event.

Two festivals dedicated to the memory of Kuibyshev bard Valery Grushin who died when rescuing children from Siberian river Ude in 1967 were held on the grounds in Samara region in early July at the same dates.
