The most "cherry" area of Nizhny Novgorod region, Buturlinsk one, on June 13 will hold

All-Russia competition of performers of the folk song "The Cherry blizzard" in the memory of L.G. Zykina.

The local people are so fond of the artistic perfomances of that Russian singer that they have begun to hold the festival to her memory. This year it’s going to be the third festival, it will bring together performers of folk songs from all over the country. That is going to be the celebration not only for professionals, but for all lovers of soul-touching singing.

For participants and guests of the competition a cultural programme is prepared: tours to Buturlinsk historical-regional museum, trip to the village of Tartaley, the former manour house of Zvantsevs, visit to the museum of Stone and stone-cutting factory in the village of Bornukovo as well as visit to the museum of Cherry in the village of Big Bakaldy, trip to the village of Smagino where the museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union pilot N.V. Sutyagin is located.

Admission is free.
