At the night from November 3 to 4, 2013, The Night of Arts will be held in Moscow for the first time, on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation and Moscow Department of Culture. Over 150 leading cultural institutions of the city will take part in the evnt, says the press service of the Ministry of Culture .

This year, The Night of Arts will be held in Moscow, yet from the next year - the Year of Culture – The Night of Arts will become the annual and all-Russia event. Apart for museums, libraries, theaters, educational institutions, art groups will participate in the event.
One of the most important activities of the coming event will be the launch of Museum Card project.

 "Until recently we have not regarded a museum from the point of view of a visitor. But museums are there for people and the task of the state is to provide visitors with all the possibilities for comfortable visiting exhibition spaces. To that the Museum Card project will contribute. The cards will be put inside November issue of Afisha magazine, part of its circulation will be distributed free of charge during The Night of Arts”, says Vladimir Medinsky, the Minister of Culture of Russian Federation, quoted by the press service.

 Holders of the first museum cards will be able from November 4 to December 8 free of charge  visit 7 Moscow museums: Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Tretyakov Gallery, HistoryMuseum, Museum of Literature, Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh" .
