Moscow Region to Celebrate Russia Day by Concerts and Flashmobs
On June 11 and 12 festive programmes devoted to the Day of Russia will be organized at various sites in more than 40 cities and districts of Moscow region. The programme of the festivities is introduced by the portal "The Culture of Moscow region".
At festive sites concerts, festivals, master-classes, flashmobs, fairs of masters, quizzes and contests will take place.
On June 12 the City Day wul be celebrated in Kolomna and Pushchino.
In Kolomna at the territory of Kremlin interactive sites will operate, a concert is going to be staged at Cathedral Square while in the evening the celebratory fireworks will crown the event.
In Pushchino at that day entertainment and educational interactive activities will be organized.
In Serpukhov area on June 12 the festive activities will be devoted not only to the Day of Russia, but also to the 85-th anniversary of Moscow region and Serpukhov area. The programme will feature a concert, exhibitions of crafts, operation of rides and other activities.
In city district Dubna at the Day of Russia International Jazz Festival "MuzEnergo" will open while in Krasnogorsk the VII Open Festival of folk arts "Keepers of Russia Heritage" will begin its functioning.
In Mytishchy district on June 12 the festival-marathon of Russian songs "Play, the accordion of Mytishchy land" will be held.
In Zaraysk at that day the youth action of face-art "Symbols of Russia" will take place: at the central streets of the city artists will make paintings on the face of everyone in the colours of Russian tricolour flag.
The Day of Russia (until 2002 – the Day of Declaration of State Sovereignty of Russian Federation) is celebrated every year since 1992 at the date when the Declaration of State Sovereignty of RSFSR was adopted – on June 12. The day was announced a day-off in 1991.
