The Regional Festival of Vepsian culture "The Tree of Life"

Vepsian folk festival-celebration "The Tree of Life" is held annually.

The festival represents interlacement of pagan holidays with modern celebration that involves representatives of the indigenous people of the north and north-east part of Leningrad region – Vepsians, Finns, Karelians as well as national ensembles from Leningrad and Vologda regions, the Republic of Karelia.

The programme includes competitions, shows, dramatized village gatherings, master classes and excursions.

At the celebration the opportunity is offered for horseback riding, fishing, cookong of catched trout and dining in summer cafe at the bank of the river Ojaty.
