The District Folklore Festival "Ergav"

8 - 15 september, 2015, Anadyr


"Ergav" celebration is a comprehensive multilateral and significant phenomenon in the history of folk art, it accumulates the ancient culture of the people of the North and modern forms of its existence in multicultural Chukotka Autonomous District.

The event is held since 1990 in the city of Anadyr.

"Ergav" embodies the idea of the festival of traditional national ceremonies, the idea of the competition spirit in the field of sports as well as in the sphere of spiritual and material culture and arts.

The festival features contests of song and dance, the national kinds of sports of the people of Chukotka, national dishes. Also, the exhibition of folklore artistic crafts operates, creative laboratories are organized.
