"Sabantuy" – Traditional Tatar Holiday

The land of Kasimov is a multinational one: here side by side Russians, Tatars and people of other nationalities live and work.

Sabantuy is the holiday of spring renewal of nature, the celebration of plow, agriculture, honour to the Mother earth.

Sabantuy in Kasimov has become the multinational holiday of people unity: one may hear Russian and Tatar songs, fun contests and competitions are held based on Russian and Tatar folklore.

In shopping arcades the holiday guests may taste dishes of Tatar and Russian national cuisine.
